I was probably born with a pen in one hand and a pencil in the other and began writing and illustrating stories when I was still at school. I was first published when I was 18 and went on to write for newspapers and magazines.

Following the publication of my book, Easy Picture Knits, I was invited to teach at a local college, where I gained my teaching qualifications. Since then I have been lucky to teach and share my passion for writing with both Creative Writing and Art students.

In 1998 I finally realized my dream to study art, and was accepted as a mature student on a 5 year, part-time course, at Wrexham College of Art in North Wales, gaining a B.A. Degree in Children’s Book Illustration in 2003.

I now freelance and teach Creative Writing and Social History for Coleg Harlech.
