I was probably born with a pen in one hand and a pencil in the other. I started writing and illustrating my stories at a very young age. My first piece of fiction was published when I was 18, and I went on to write articles for newspapers and short stories/articles for magazines.

Following the publication of my book, Easy Picture Knits, I was invited to teach at a local college, where I gained my teaching qualifications. I went on to work as an Instructor and Training Co-ordinator in Mental Health, editing a newsletter for staff and also running Creative Writing classes.

In 1998 I finally realized my dream to study art, and was accepted as a student on a 5-year, part-time course, at Wrexham College of Art in North Wales, gaining a B.A. Degree in Children’s Book Illustration in 2003.

In 2007 I decided to have a complete change of career. So, gave up my job as a Training Co-ordinator to concentrate on my writing and illustrating. It’s a wonderful place to be and I'm enjoying every minute.

I live in the beautiful countryside of North Wales, surrounded by fields and with a distant view of the sea. But the backgrounds for my stories are always drawn from places I remember as a child.
